Kitambo bado vita itaisha (In a little while the battle will be over)
Kitambo, na dhoruba zitapoa (In a little while, the storms will break)
Na tena nitalaza kichwa changu (And then I will lay my head)
Mbavuni mwake anayenipenda (By the side of Him who loves me) (Repeat)

Nitaziona raha na amani (I will see joy and peace)
Mbinguni hazitakuwapo dhambi (In heaven there will be no more sin)

Kitambo bado roho yaumizwa (For a little while the spirit will still be hurt)
Kitambo katika usiku huku (For a while it will still be dark on this side)
Machozi ninatoka mara nyingi (I have shed tears often)
Sababu sijaona bado Yesu (For I have yet to see my Jesus)  (Repeat)

Lakini asubuhi ya milele (But in the everlasting morning)
Huko mbinguni sitalia tena (There in heaven, I will cry no more) (Repeat)

Kitambo bado ya kuchoka huku (A little while of tiring here)
Kitambo tena nitaona Yesu (But in a little while I will see Jesus)
Na huru mbali na hatari zote (And be free and far from dangers)

Uvuli wote utaondolewa (All the shadows will be removed)

Mateso yangu hayadhuru tena (My suffering will not longer hurt)

Nikisumbuka mda duniani (I will suffer for a while on earth)

Na Mungu atafuta kila chozi (And God shall wipe away every tear)
